Talib Kweli (Black Star/Reflection Eternal) drops his latest solo joing Prisoner of Consciousness today (May 7th). Critically acclaimed as one of the best MCs to ever spit on the mic, Kweli delivers another classic album full of his signature “Conscious Rap“. The Brooklyn Bomber features some great collaborations on this one (Kendrick Lamar, Curren$y, Busta Rhymes, Miquel, Nelly, etc). We are surprised that his main partner Yasiin Bey (aka MOS DEF) doesn’t make an appearance on the album, but Talib is well known to hold his own as the uber-prolific half of the duo Black Star. Check out the RZA produced “Rocket Ships” and the both coast strong “Push Thru“ below.
